Bhind Intensifies Milk and Dairy Product Checks with Rapid Kits, Taking Action Against Adulteration

Spot Checks Underway Across Bhind District

In response to directives from Collector Kirodi Lal Meena and the Designated Officer of the Food Safety Administration, food safety officers in Bhind district conducted spot checks using rapid kits to ensure the quality of milk and its derivatives. Samples of milk were collected from various dairies and vehicles, while food samples were also gathered for testing.

Food Safety Officer Mrs. Kiran Sengar inspected milk in the vehicles of Sonam Milk Dairy and Jai Durge Dairy in Arya Nagar using rapid kits. The milk in a Jai Durge Dairy vehicle was found to be of suspicious quality, leading to a sample being collected for testing under the Food Safety and Standards Act. Additionally, milk in a vehicle parked outside Sonam Milk Dairy and a vehicle at Vijayveer Dairy were also inspected on the spot.

Based on a complaint received at the office, samples of curd and used cooking mustard oil were collected from Champu Kachori near Dhanwantri Complex for examination. Similarly, in response to a complaint received on the CM Helpline, Sai Kripa Restaurant on Etawah Road was inspected, and a sample of Tur Dal was collected for testing.

Checks Extended to Gohad and Mihona

Food Safety Officer Mrs. Reena Bansal collected a milk sample from Parshuram Kushwaha's Krishna Dairy in Tehsil Gohad. Milk, mawa, and paneer samples were also tested using rapid kits at Ramjilal Mishthan Bhandar. A milk sample was also collected from Tarachand Bandil's dairy in Gohad for examination under the Food Safety and Standards Act.

Ms. Rekha Soni, Food Safety Officer, conducted on-the-spot checks of milk in vehicles passing through the Malav Mahila Milk Producer Chilling Centre and on Aswar Road in Mihona using rapid kits.

Educating Students on Identifying Adulteration

Food safety officers also advanced public awareness initiatives. Mrs. Kiran Sengar and chemist Ku. Aarti Shivhare from the mobile laboratory organized an awareness program at Bihari Public School. During this program, school students were taught simple methods to identify adulteration and were provided with important information regarding the prevention of adulteration.

The aim of this initiative is to increase awareness about food safety among the youth, enabling them to ensure the consumption of pure food items in their daily lives.
