Grand Dussehra in Bhind: 50-Foot Ravana from Bhopal, Fireworks from Etawah
The celebration of Vijayadashami in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, is set to be exceptionally grand and thrilling this year. The Municipal Administration has made special arrangements for the occasion, with a 50-foot tall Ravana effigy being brought from the capital city, Bhopal, and spectacular fireworks from Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, as the main attractions.
Virendra Chakraborty, the Chief Municipal Officer (CMO), stated that the Ravana effigy was not made locally but commissioned from Bhopal. This artistic effigy will travel approximately 500 kilometers to reach Bhind a day before the festival. Its impressive height of fifty feet is expected to generate significant curiosity among the attendees.
Sky to Illuminate with Grand Fireworks
To make the Dussehra celebration even more memorable, special attention is being given to the fireworks display. Special pyrotechnicians from Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, have been invited to present a grand fireworks show during the Ravana effigy burning ceremony. Their performance is anticipated to be a major highlight, filling the night sky with vibrant colors.
Significant Change in Venue
A notable change has also been made to the venue for this year's Dussehra celebration. While in previous years the Ravana effigy burning took place at the Mela Ground, this time it has been shifted to the city's stadium. This alteration aims to provide a safer and more organized viewing experience for a larger audience.
The Municipal Administration estimates an expenditure of approximately one and a half lakh rupees for the entire event, including the construction and transportation of the effigy and the special fireworks from Etawah. With these extensive preparations by the administration and the municipality, this year's Dussehra celebration is expected to be an unforgettable event in Bhind's history. Locals are also expressing considerable enthusiasm for this grand event.
