Bhind Gears Up for Balram Mahotsav with Gauri Sarovar Beautification and Anti-Encroachment Drive

Preparations Underway for Balram Mahotsav and Gauri Sarovar Beautification

The district administration in Bhind has intensified its efforts for the grand upcoming Balram Mahotsav and the beautification of the city's prominent Gauri Sarovar. Under the direction of Collector Kirodi Lal Meena, the Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) of Nagar Palika Bhind, Virendra Chakraborty, conducted an impromptu inspection of the festival venue and the sarovar with an administrative team to assess the arrangements.

Inspection of Festival Venue and Sarovar

The inspection commenced at the Krishi Upaj Mandi Ground, the proposed site for the 'Balram Mahotsav'. CMO Chakraborty meticulously reviewed aspects such as sanitation, parking, stage construction, drinking water supply, and visitor seating arrangements within the mandi premises. He instructed the staff present to ensure all preparations are completed on time to prevent any inconvenience to farmers and the general public during the festival.

Gauri Sarovar Inspection and Strict Action Against Encroachments

Following the inspection of the mandi ground, CMO Virendra Chakraborty proceeded to Gauri Sarovar, located in the heart of the city. There, he reviewed the ongoing beautification works, ghat cleaning, and the surrounding area. Expressing deep displeasure upon observing unauthorized encroachments along the sarovar's banks, the CMO issued strict directives for the immediate removal of these illegal structures.

“Gauri Sarovar is an important symbol of the city's heritage and beauty. Any form of illegal occupation or encroachment around it will not be tolerated at all,” stated CMO Chakraborty. He further added that maintaining cleanliness around the sarovar and ensuring clear pathways are top priorities for the administration.

The inspection team included the Nagar Palika's Deputy Engineer, the revenue team, the sanitation inspector, and other relevant officials.
