Bhind: Gambling Den Raided in Shastri Nagar, Over ₹4.5 Lakh Recovered from 30 Suspects
Police in Bhind busted a major gambling operation in Shastri Nagar, arresting 30 individuals and seizing over ₹4.5 lakh in cash.

As part of an ongoing campaign against illegal activities in the Bhind district, police in Dehat police station achieved a significant success on Saturday evening. Acting on precise information, the police raided a house in Block B, Shastri Nagar, exposing a large gambling den.
During the raid, 30 individuals were apprehended red-handed while engaged in gambling with playing cards. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma and Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel. Station House Officer Inspector Shivpratap Singh Rajawat led the swift action based on a tip-off about a high-stakes gambling game involving substantial cash.
Significant Cash Seized
The police team successfully surrounded and raided the premises, causing panic among the gamblers present. A total of ₹4,52,400 in cash and four decks of playing cards were recovered from the scene. None of the gamblers were able to escape, and all were taken into custody.
An investigation has been initiated against all arrested individuals under the Indian Penal Code, with further legal proceedings underway. The Dehat Police Station, including Sub-Inspectors Atul Bhadauria, Vaibhav Tomar, Vijay Shivhare, Satyaveer Singh, and head constables Satendra Yadav, Pramod Parashar, Rajveer Pipal, and Chatur Singh, along with other constables, played a commendable role in the operation. The local administration has pledged to continue surveillance and operations to curb illegal activities in the region.
