Bhind Collector reviews health schemes, directs action for underperforming officials and timely payments to healthcare workers.

District Health Committee Meeting Reviews Schemes
A crucial district health committee meeting, chaired by the Bhind Collector, was held to review the progress of health services and the implementation of various schemes in the district. The current status of different health department programs was thoroughly assessed, and necessary directives were issued to improve performance.
Focus on Janani Suraksha and Prasuti Sahayata Schemes
During the meeting, the Collector specifically expressed concern over pending complaints in the CM Helpline under the Janani Suraksha Yojana and Prasuti Sahayata Yojana. He instructed officials to secure immediate budget allocation and ensure prompt payment to beneficiaries. Additionally, orders were given to 'force close' complaints from ineligible complainants, where resolution is not possible, as per rules.
Action Against Underperforming Officials
Given the unsatisfactory performance of the Medical Officer (BMO) of the Gohad block in effectively resolving CM Helpline complaints, the Collector directed the preparation of a proposal for his suspension. He also ordered the submission of a proposal for the termination of services of the Block Program Manager (BPM) of the Gohad block.
Vector-Borne Disease Monitoring and Staff Payments
The Collector emphasized maintaining regular monitoring of vector-borne diseases in anticipation of the upcoming monsoon season. He instructed the health department to remain vigilant in preventing outbreaks of these diseases. Furthermore, strict directives were issued to ensure the timely payment of salaries, remuneration, and honorariums for all health workers.
E-Office and Jem Portal Training Emphasized
The Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) was directed to obtain necessary approvals through e-office. The need for training on e-office and the Jem portal for the concerned officials was also stressed to bring transparency and efficiency to departmental processes.
Ensuring Smooth Ambulance Operations
For the smooth operation of 108 ambulance vehicles, the Collector ordered the completion of monthly audits based on checklists in the coming days.
Emphasis on Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers and Vaccination Progress
The meeting addressed the unavailability of Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) at various health centers. The Collector directed that ANMs be assigned additional charge of ANM-less health centers on an immediate basis. Proposals were also ordered to be sent for establishing dedicated Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers in areas like Raun, Mau, and Gorami to improve the treatment and management of malnourished children.
Data Entry and Screening Initiatives
Reviewing vaccination progress on the HMIS and UWIN portals, it was instructed that relevant information be updated on the portal immediately after administering vaccines. In light of slow data entry in Lahar and Mehgaon, the provision of additional Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) was directed. Emphasis was also placed on increasing the screening of children under the Dastak Abhiyan and reviewing infant mortality rates.
Review of Non-Communicable Diseases and TB Free India Campaign
The Collector ordered an increase in the screening of non-communicable diseases among individuals over 30 years of age. He asked Community Health Officers (CHOs) to complete the process of linking these patients with their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs for verification. Under the TB Free India Campaign, critical points such as X-ray screening, food basket distribution through NIXTAY MITRA, creation of Ayushman cards for beneficiaries above 70 years, ongoing construction work in health institutions, and the upcoming Pulse Polio campaign were also reviewed.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Civil Surgeon, Block Medical Officers (BMOs), and Block Program Managers (BPMs), along with other relevant officials.
