Collector Addresses Public Grievances
In a public hearing held at the Bhind Collectorate auditorium on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, District Collector Kirodi Lal Meena patiently listened to the problems and complaints of 130 applicants from across the district. He issued strict instructions to the concerned departmental officials for the swift and effective resolution of all cases within the stipulated time.
District Panchayat CEO Veer Singh Chauhan and Additional Collector Rajan V Nadia were also present during the hearing. They engaged directly with the applicants, understood their issues, and conducted initial scrutiny of the received applications before forwarding them to the relevant departments for further action.
Key Concerns and Demands Raised
Various types of cases emerged during the public hearing. Prominent among these were requests for financial assistance for the treatment of serious illnesses, correction of discrepancies in electricity bills, prompt repair of defunct handpumps, issues related to social security pensions, expectations of compensation from the road accident relief fund, and obstacles in receiving benefits from beneficiary-oriented government schemes.
Additionally, a significant number of applications were received concerning the issuance of BPL ration cards and the reclamation of land encroached upon by land mafias.
Mandatory Notification of Action
Collector Kirodi Lal Meena placed particular emphasis on ensuring that applications received during the public hearing were not just resolved on paper, but that effective action was guaranteed on the ground. He also clarified that applicants must be mandatorily informed of the action taken in each case.
The objective is to ensure that applicants do not have to repeatedly visit government offices for the resolution of their problems and that they experience a transparent process.
