Collector Orders Accelerated Development Work

At an important meeting held in the Bhind Collectorate auditorium on September 24, 2026, Collector Kirodi Lal Meena voiced deep concern over the slow progress of various road and building construction projects in the district. Presiding over the meeting, he issued clear directives to senior officials of the concerned departments to expedite development works and complete them within the stipulated deadlines.

Officials from PIU, PWD, NH, RES, Housing Board, and Police Housing Corporation were present. The Collector specifically emphasized the need to expedite land acquisition for national highways and bypass projects. Strict instructions were issued to the Sub-Divisional Revenue Officers to hasten land acquisition proceedings for the Bhind bypass, Ater realignment, and National Highway 552.

Road Repairs and Bridge Investigations Mandated

MPRDC has been instructed to ensure the immediate repair of potholes on the Phuup to Pratapur road to facilitate smooth passage. The Public Works Department (Bridge) has been ordered to conduct a technical inspection of the old structure of the bridge being constructed over the Sindh River on the Lahad-Ajanar-Mangrol road since 2023 before proceeding with further construction. This step aims to ensure the safety and quality of the bridge.

Regarding the additional opening work of the high-level bridge at the Ater Ghat of the Chambal River on the Ater-Jaitpur road, the Collector directed the SDO of the Bridge Department to reapply on the Forest Department's portal for permission from the National Chambal Sanctuary and to personally contact the DFO of Agra. Additionally, necessary instructions were given for the maintenance of bridges located on the Mehgaon-Gohad road.

Firm Blacklisted for CM Rise School Construction Negligence

During the meeting, Collector Meena expressed strong displeasure over the extremely slow pace of construction work at the CM Rise School in Amayan. He instructed the MP Police Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation to immediately commence the process of blacklisting the firm responsible for negligence in this construction work.

The Collector clarified that the monsoon season has ended, and now all construction departments must complete the building and road construction works under their purview with full speed and promptness, so that the public can benefit from these development initiatives. He warned against any laxity in the execution of these works.
