Municipality Intensifies Efforts to Resolve Public Issues

The Bhind Municipal Administration has ramped up its proactive measures to address the city's public grievances. Following stringent directives from Collector Kirodi Lal Meena, Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) Virendra Chakravarti conducted surprise inspections of various wards in the city on Tuesday.

During the inspection, CMO Virendra Chakravarti assessed the identified locations where illegal encroachments had been made on drains. He instructed the municipal staff present on-site to immediately remove these encroachments. Additionally, sanitation workers were mandated to ensure the regular cleaning of streets and drains is properly maintained.

Encroachment Removal and Sanitation Drive Stepped Up

While touring the wards with a team of municipal officials, CMO Virendra Chakravarti emphasized that any negligence in resolving public hearing and CM Helpline complaints would not be tolerated. Collector Meena has adopted a 'zero tolerance' policy to tackle the city's primary issues, including water supply, sanitation, and encroachments.

The Municipal Administration will continue this special campaign to make the city clean and well-organized. Under this initiative, the CMO oversaw the removal of encroachments on drains in ward areas, including the main market. He directed the municipal staff to conduct continuous patrolling and take action against violators as per rules to prevent future encroachments.

Similarly, no leniency will be shown regarding sanitation. He instructed all sanitation workers to perform their duties diligently and keep the wards clean. CMO Virendra Chakravarti stated that providing better facilities to the city's residents is the municipality's top priority. Prompt action will be ensured on complaints received through the CM Helpline and public hearings.

Citizen Cooperation Sought for City Improvement

He also appealed to citizens to cooperate with the administration in maintaining a clean and beautiful city and to immediately report any problems to the municipality. Local residents expressed satisfaction with the administration's swift action, noting that they had been significantly troubled by encroachment and sanitation issues recently and now hope for their resolution.

A comprehensive plan for regular monitoring and supervision is also being developed to further strengthen systems and ensure citizens do not face any inconvenience. Under this plan, a responsible officer will be appointed in each ward to regularly assess local conditions and promptly address problems.
