Bhind Municipality Takes Stern Action Against Negligence and Encroachments

Bhind, India - The Municipal Administration of Bhind city is implementing stringent measures against sanitation issues and encroachments. Following this directive, on Saturday, the Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) of the Municipality, Virendra Chakravarti, along with his team, conducted an unscheduled inspection of various parts of the city, with a particular focus on the hawker zones.

During the inspection, the CMO expressed deep dissatisfaction upon observing the widespread garbage and disarray in the hawker zone. The Municipal Administration is now fully operational, adhering to the strict stance and administrative directives of Collector Kirodi Lal Meena. This surprise inspection by CMO Virendra Chakravarti signals a significant crackdown, highlighting the Municipality's commitment to maintaining cleanliness and managing public spaces.

CMO Expresses Strong Displeasure Over Garbage in Hawker Zone

During the inspection, CMO Chakravarti reprimanded the concerned sanitation workers and supervisors, issuing immediate orders to restore the cleanliness system. He emphasized that maintaining hygiene in public areas and hawker zones is of utmost importance and any negligence will not be tolerated. He instructed the staff to conduct regular cleaning sessions every morning and evening and to strictly adhere to waste disposal timelines.

The CMO particularly stressed that the hawker zone should be accessible to the general public, not just vendors. He noted that garbage and disorder not only tarnish the city's image but also pose a health hazard. He also stated that the regular attendance and work performance of sanitation staff would be thoroughly evaluated.

Order Issued for Immediate Removal of Temporary Encroachments

CMO Virendra Chakravarti also strongly objected to the temporary encroachments made by shopkeepers in and around the hawker zone. He ordered the immediate removal of all such encroachments to ensure that the public does not face any inconvenience while commuting. He stressed that maintaining order in public spaces is a priority for the Municipality.

This order to remove encroachments directly means that the proliferation of shop goods on sidewalks or roadsides will no longer be tolerated. This will be a significant relief for pedestrians who often struggle to navigate narrow pathways. The CMO directed the concerned officials to ensure that encroachments do not recur, otherwise, there will be serious consequences.

Warning Issued Against Future Negligence and Encroachments

The CMO warned that in future inspections, if any negligence in sanitation is found or if temporary encroachments reappear, then legal and punitive action will be taken against the concerned employees as well as the encroaching individuals. Other municipal staff, sanitation inspectors, and employees from relevant departments were also present during this surprise inspection and will follow the CMO's directives regarding the arrangements.
