Surprise Inspection in Bhind
In a surprise inspection of Ward No. 11 in Bhind city on Monday, September 7, 2026, the Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) of the municipality, Virendra Chakravarti, assessed the internal roads, drains, and sewage systems. The inspection was carried out as per the directives of Collector Kirodi Lal Meena.
During the inspection, CMO Chakravarti observed that construction materials such as sand and gravel were piled up directly on the roads at several locations. This not only hindered the movement of local residents but also aggravated their frustration due to temporary encroachments along the roadsides. He described this disarray as an impediment to the city's cleanliness and smooth traffic flow, ordering its immediate removal.
Stern Directives on Encroachments and Sewage
The CMO severely reprimanded the concerned municipal officials and staff present at the scene. He issued strict instructions for the immediate removal of construction materials and encroachments from the roads to prevent any inconvenience to the general public.
CMO Chakravarti stated unequivocally that a firm stance would be adopted against those disrupting the city's cleanliness and smooth traffic, and no negligence would be tolerated. The relevant municipal staff and local citizens were present during this surprise inspection. The CMO's visit has sparked hopes for improvement in the city's infrastructure and has reminded the responsible officials of their accountability.
