Police Apprehend Long-Term Fugitive

In a significant operation, the Dehat Police in the Bhind district have arrested a permanent warrant holder, carrying a reward of Rs 10,000, who had been absconding for 12 years. The accused had been constantly changing his location while hiding his identity to evade capture.

Case Background and Reward

The case dates back to 2013, when a case was registered against the accused at the Dehat police station under crime number 286/2013. The charges were filed under sections 279, 337, and 338 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), pertaining to rash driving and causing death or grievous hurt by negligence. The accused had been a fugitive since the court issued a warrant. The Superintendent of Police had announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for his arrest.

Special Campaign Leads to Success

Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma and Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel, and the supervision of City Superintendent of Police Niranjan Singh Rajput, a special campaign is underway in the district to apprehend reward fugitives and permanent warrant holders. A special team, led by Dehat Station Officer Inspector Shivpratap Singh Rajawat, achieved this success as part of this ongoing campaign.

Arrest Made at Subhash Square

Following continuous police surveillance and the active involvement of informants, precise information was received on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Based on this intelligence, the police team cordoned off Subhash Square in Bhind and apprehended the permanent warrant holder.
