"Bhauji Bal Mandir" Inaugurated: Education as the Foundation of Nation Building

Education: Cornerstone of Nation and Society

Gandhian thinker and Chairman of Mahatma Gandhi Seva Ashram, Morena, Dr. P.V. Rajagopal, stated that education is a monumental endeavor in building a nation and society. Human life is incomplete without education, and the commencement of 'Bhauji Bal Mandir' marks a significant stride towards fulfilling this very resolve.

He shared these thoughts as the chief guest at the informal inauguration ceremony of 'Bhauji Bal Mandir', operated by the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Ashram. Dr. Rajagopal illustrated the importance of education with an analogy of a musician, explaining that a teacher possesses the capacity to nurture hidden talents within every student, much like a musician crafts a flute capable of producing melodious tunes from a simple piece of bamboo.

He underscored that a teacher can mold a student into a responsible citizen not just by imparting academic knowledge but also by instilling moral values.

Inauguration of Bal Mandir and Founder's Memory

This new school, 'Bhauji Bal Mandir', has been established by the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Ashram, Morena, recognizing the need for value-based education grounded in Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy and thought. It is dedicated in memory of the Ashram's founder, the late Dr. S.N. Subbarao.

Despite being an English-medium institution, the school received an overwhelming number of applications shortly after admissions opened, prompting the organizers to hold an informal inauguration ceremony.

Mayoral Address and the Importance of Ethical Values

The ceremony was presided over by the President of Morena Municipality, Shri Akhil Maheshwari. In his address, he highlighted the profound usefulness of 'Bhauji's' ideals and lessons on ethics in life. Secretary of NYP (National Youth Project), Shri Kayal Sukumaran, remarked that the inauguration of 'Bhauji Bal Mandir' is akin to carrying forward 'Bhauji's' work. He described 'Bhauji's' ideal life as a guiding path for living rightly and expressed confidence that this school, named in his honor, will be instrumental in shaping a brighter future for children.

Emphasis on Value-Based Education

Mahesh Dutt Mishra, former MLA of Morena, a special guest at the program, emphasized the necessity of value-based education. He stated that in today's context, education grounded in values and ethics is far more crucial than mere bookish knowledge.

Shri Hari Vishwas of the National Youth Project assured all possible support in the school's operations. Similarly, Shri Ashok Saran of NYP added that 'Bhauji's' work can be successfully advanced through this institution.
