Grand Celebration at Bhai Ji Bal Mandir for 80th Independence Day
The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with grandeur at Bhai Ji Bal Mandir English Medium School, located within the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Ashram campus in Jaura. The event was presided over by former MLA Mahesh Dutt Mishra as the chief guest.
The ceremony commenced with the chief guest, Mahesh Dutt Mishra, hoisting the national flag and saluting it. Following this, attendees joined in a collective rendition of 'Vande Mataram' and the national anthem. The students of the school showcased their talents through patriotic cultural performances, speeches, and quiz competitions, with the young students' captivating presentations being a particular highlight.
Emphasis on Nation-Building and Ideals
Chief guest Mahesh Dutt Mishra paid tribute to the invaluable contributions of freedom fighters and the Gandhian social worker, the late Dr. S.N. Subbarao 'Bhai Ji'. He encouraged the children to draw inspiration from his ideals and actively contribute to nation-building.
A message for Independence Day from Dr. Rajgopal P.V., President of Mahatma Gandhi Seva Ashram (sent from Germany), was also read out during the ceremony.
In his message, Dr. Rajgopal P.V. conveyed his best wishes to the school management, teachers, staff, and students. He lauded the students' talents and urged them to utilize their abilities and knowledge for the nation's progress, aspiring to become responsible, honest, and good citizens.
Pledge for Environmental Protection
Linking the Independence Day message to environmental conservation, tree plantation was carried out on the Gandhi Seva Ashram campus, with saplings provided through the initiative of Haji Shakir Hamid. Senior litterateur Dr. Jagdish Shukla, Ashram Secretary Dilip Jain, and Ekta Parishad's State Convener Dongar Sharma participated in the sapling plantation along with the school staff and students. During this event, the children took a pledge for environmental protection and national service.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Ashram Secretary Dilip Jain, senior litterateur Dr. Jagdish Shukla, Ekta Parishad's State Convener Dongar Sharma, Principal of Excellence Inter College Munnilal Yadav, Haji Shakir Hamid, Board Member Sheetal Jain, along with many esteemed guests, parents, and Ashram staff. The efforts of school operators Jimmy George and Mrs. Jimmy George, and the arrangements for the event, were also commended.
At the conclusion of the program, students who performed exceptionally were honored with prizes and certificates by the guests. The entire event delivered an inspiring message of patriotism, education, values, environmental conservation, and nation-building.
