BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) has partnered with 22feet India to launch a new campaign titled 'Soch Kum, Khel Maximum' (Think Less, Play Maximum). The initiative aims to dismantle the hesitation players may feel about their skill level, encouraging them to simply jump into the game and enjoy the experience.

The campaign is rooted in the observation that many people hesitate to try new things, including gaming, due to concerns about not being good enough. The 'Soch Kum, Khel Maximum' campaign directly addresses this by presenting BGMI as an accessible and fuss-free activity, regardless of a player's proficiency.

Challenging Hesitation in Gaming

A series of humorous films form the core of the campaign, juxtaposing everyday situations that genuinely warrant overthinking with the effortless act of playing BGMI. By drawing this contrast, the campaign highlights that while many life decisions require careful consideration, getting into a BGMI match does not.

The core message emphasizes that BGMI is designed for players to enjoy at their own pace, whether engaging in quick solo sessions or joining up with friends. The campaign aims to convey that skill acquisition is a journey that can happen organically during gameplay, rather than a prerequisite for entry.

Strategic Campaign Rollout

Following the film series, the campaign will expand into a broader digital strategy. This will involve engaging with real-time online conversations, leveraging viral moments, and tapping into popular internet discussions about questionable decisions, all to reinforce the campaign's central theme.

“BGMI is India’s most recognizable gaming franchise and this year we’ve worked hard to bring modes and maps which are extremely easy to pick up and play without thinking about the time it needs to master them. It’s casual, its instant, and doesn’t always need your squad or a schedule to play. 'Soch Kum, Khel Maximum' is all about that, just tap and jump into the lobby. Anytime!”

Srinjoy Das, Director of BGMI Product Management and Marketing at Krafton India, stated that the new modes and maps are designed for immediate playability, minimizing the need for extensive mastering. He stressed the casual and instant nature of the game, accessible anytime without requiring a pre-arranged squad.

“You shouldn’t need a gaming resume to join your friends for a game of BGMI. You play to have fun. Getting good can happen along the way. That’s the pressure we wanted to take off with ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’. The campaign takes that hesitation and puts it where it belongs, those spectacularly questionable life decisions that could actually do with a second thought. Life has enough of those. Playing BGMI isn’t one of them.”

Shyam Nair, Executive Creative Director at 22feet, added that the campaign seeks to remove the pressure of needing a "gaming resume" to play BGMI, focusing instead on the fun aspect. He explained that the campaign redirects the need for second-guessing towards genuinely questionable life choices, positioning BGMI as a pressure-free entertainment option.

The campaign's films will be amplified across BGMI's Instagram platforms to maximize reach and audience engagement. The creative team behind the campaign includes Vishnu Srivatsav, Jamuna Poovaiah, Pavithra Nair, Manvir Kaur, and Manjusha Nair, with production by SUPRVLLN FILMS and direction by Chalees Chor.
