Review of Cow Slaughter Act Cases

In a significant step towards strengthening law and order in Bareilly, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) convened a virtual review meeting on Friday night via Google Meet. The meeting, which began at 8 PM, focused on a detailed review of the progress of cases registered under the Cow Slaughter Act, investigations, and preventive actions taken by the police.

All Additional Superintendents of Police, Circle Officers, LIU (Intelligence Unit) officers, and Station House Officers of the district were present in this important discussion. During the meeting, the SSP issued clear directives, stating that stringent action should be ensured against criminals involved in cow slaughter under the Gangster Act and Goonda Act.

He ordered all Station House Officers to take immediate action and expedite the process of arresting wanted accused absconding in such cases. Furthermore, emphasis was placed on closely monitoring the activities of criminals and establishing effective control over their movements.

Strengthening Beat System and Crime Prevention

Instructions were also given to further strengthen the beat system and curb crimes through regular area patrols. The aim is to enhance police presence and responsiveness at the local level.

Expediting Pending Investigations

The swift and qualitative resolution of pending investigations was given the highest priority in the review meeting. The SSP directed officials to ensure the quick and effective resolution of cases pending for more than fifty and ninety days.

The objective behind this directive is to expedite the justice process and ensure timely justice for victims. This reflects a commitment to efficient judicial proceedings.

Security Arrangements for Purnima Bath

A detailed security strategy was also prepared for the Ganga bath scheduled on the occasion of Bhadrapad Purnima on September 26. The SSP instructed the concerned officials to deploy an adequate police force at the ghats of the holy rivers to ensure the safety of devotees.

Additionally, orders were given to maintain smooth traffic management for the convenience of bathers. He sternly warned all police personnel to remain fully alert towards public safety and to perform their duties with utmost dedication.

Special emphasis was placed on the detection of crimes and maintaining peace in the district through effective policing. This highlights the administration's focus on proactive crime prevention and maintaining order.
