Security Preparations for Ganesh Visarjan and Navratri

In Bareilly, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anurag Arya has issued strict security directives to police officials to ensure law and order during the upcoming Ganesh Visarjan processions and the Navratri festival.

During a crucial review meeting held via Google Meet on September 23, the SSP discussed various points with officers, including procession routes, deployment of police forces at sensitive locations, crowd control, and effective patrolling. All Additional Superintendents of Police, Circle Officers, and Station House Officers were present at the meeting.

Emphasis on Procession Safety and Crowd Management

SSP Arya specifically emphasized the security of the Ganesh Visarjan processions. He stated that adequate police forces should be deployed along the designated routes of the processions, as well as in sensitive areas and major public spaces. To manage crowds, police forces were instructed to be deployed in a 'box formation' to effectively handle any untoward incidents. Orders were also given to keep all necessary resources ready for emergency situations.

E-Saksh App and Navratri Security

The SSP also discussed the effective use of the E-Saksh app. He directed officers to appropriately utilize this app for the collection and security of digital evidence. Regarding the Navratri festival, he advised Circle Officers and Station House Officers to strengthen security arrangements by coordinating with relevant temple committees and organizers.

Public Grievance Redressal and Station Construction

Reviewing public grievance redressal, SSP Anurag Arya stressed the importance of listening to complainants' problems with sensitivity and resolving their complaints within the stipulated time. He instructed to pay special attention to the monitoring of complaints and the quality of their resolution. Additionally, information was sought regarding the quality of ongoing construction work at police stations and their timely completion. The SSP directed all officers to ensure that peace is maintained in the region through effective policing and that the sense of security among the general public is strengthened.
