Bareilly Police Apprehend Trio After Earring Heist for Haridwar Trip
Bareilly police have arrested three individuals who stole earrings to fund a trip to Haridwar.

The Baradari police in Bareilly have successfully apprehended three notorious criminals who had snatched earrings from a woman and fled. These accused committed the robbery to fund their trip to Haridwar.
Recovered Loot and Evidence
The police recovered two stolen gold earrings, two smartphones, the Hero Splendor Plus bike used in the crime, an illegal .315 bore pistol, and a live cartridge from the arrested accused. The incident occurred on September 24, 2026, in the Nawada Sheikhan area, where the accused on a motorcycle snatched the earrings from a woman named Rameshwari Devi.
Investigation Leads to Arrest
To solve the case, the police meticulously reviewed footage from approximately 300 CCTV cameras in the area. Based on thorough investigation and information from an informant, the police successfully arrested Abhishek Rathour, Abhishek Kashyap, and Nitin Mishra from the Harunwala Bharataul road.
Jailhouse Connections and Haridwar Plans
During police interrogation, the accused confessed that they planned the robbery due to a lack of funds for their planned trip to Haridwar. Abhishek Rathour and Nitin Mishra had met previously while incarcerated in Shahjahanpur jail. They intended to sell the stolen goods and commit further crimes before the police apprehended them.
Past Criminal Records
Police investigations revealed that the arrested accused, Abhishek Rathour, has previous cases registered against him in various police stations across Bareilly and Shahjahanpur districts, including charges of murder. Nitin Mishra also has several pending cases against him. The police have filed a separate case under the Arms Act based on the recovery of the illegal firearm. All arrested individuals are undergoing legal proceedings and will be presented before the court. The investigation was a collaborative effort between the Baradari police station and the SOG (Special Operations Group) team.
