Security Review for Legislative Council Elections in Bareilly

In preparation for the biennial elections of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council's Graduates' and Teachers' constituencies in 2026, the district administration and police department conducted surprise inspections of various polling centers and booths in Bareilly on Friday, October 23. District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police personally assessed the arrangements and meticulously reviewed the security measures.

During the inspection, officials also examined the basic facilities available at the polling locations. Both senior officers issued clear directives to the concerned officials to ensure the entire electoral process remains completely free and fair. They emphasized the need for enhanced police deployment and stringent security protocols to ensure robust arrangements.

The officers underscored the imperative of strict adherence to all guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India, stating that any oversight or negligence at any level would not be tolerated and would be taken seriously. Any laxity or lapse in this process will be viewed with utmost seriousness.

Administration Prioritizes Strict Adherence to Election Commission Guidelines

Ensuring the electoral process concludes without any hindrance and in an organized manner is the administration's top priority. Utmost vigilance will be maintained throughout the elections, and arrangements will be kept strictly in line with the prescribed rules. The local administration has completed all preparations to ensure peaceful voting, including the distribution of election materials, appointment and training of polling personnel, and identification of sensitive polling stations.

Every possible step is being taken to conduct free and fair elections in accordance with the Election Commission's directives. This includes comprehensive measures for the distribution of polling materials, the appointment and training of election staff, and the identification of sensitive polling stations to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
