Teachers Absent Without Leave During Inspections

During departmental inspections conducted across various government schools in Bareilly district between August 21 and September 24, 2026, a total of 117 teachers, Shiksha Mitras, instructors, and fourth-grade employees were found to be unauthorizedly absent. The District Basic Education Officer (BSA) office has issued notices to all these personnel, demanding immediate written explanations.

This action has been taken with the objective of ensuring discipline and accountability within the education department. The inspections were carried out by district, block, and other departmental officials in various development blocks, including Alampur Jafrabad, Badaun, Bareilly Nagar, Bhadpura, Bhojipura, Bhuta, Bithri Chainpur, Damkhoda, Faridpur, Fatehganj Paschim, Kyara, Majhgawan, Meerganj, Nawabganj, Ramnagar, and Shergarh.

The primary aim of these inspections was to verify the attendance of teachers and other staff members in schools and to ensure that the teaching and learning processes were proceeding smoothly. The BSA office has issued official directives requiring all absent employees to submit evidence clarifying the reasons for their absence within three working days from the date of receiving the notice.
