Balrampur's Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme Sees 48 Couples Wed, 10 Enter Matrimony

Grand Mass Wedding Ceremony Held in Balrampur

Under the ambitious Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme, a grand ceremony was organized in the Utraula tehsil of Balrampur district, where a total of 48 couples embarked on a new life together. The event, held at the Shalimar Lawn in the tehsil, saw 38 couples solemnize their unions according to Hindu rituals and Vedic chants, while 10 couples were married under Islamic traditions.

The primary objective of this mass wedding, conducted under the guidance of District Magistrate Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain, is to ensure daughters from economically weaker families are married with dignity and to provide them with the economic and other essential support determined by the government. This scheme reflects the government's commitment to social equality, women empowerment, and assistance to families in need.

Celebration and Support for Newlyweds

Local public representatives and officials extended their best wishes to the newlyweds for a happy married life and a bright future. All necessary arrangements, including registration, seating, drinking water, electricity, security, health services, food, and sanitation, were meticulously ensured to prevent any inconvenience to the bridegrooms, brides, and their families.

The administration had made extensive preparations for the successful organization of this program, fostering effective coordination among various departments. The scheme is proving to be a boon for eligible and impoverished families, not only providing financial assistance but also promoting social harmony where people from different communities come together to help those in need.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of several public representatives, including MLA of Utraula, Rampratap Verma, representative of the Nagar Palika Parishad President, Anup Chandra Gupta, and Pramukh of Gairas Buzurg, Rakesh Tiwari. Also present were Nodal Officer/PD Project Director Rural Development Department Vivekanand Mishra, Block Development Officers from various tehsils, District Social Welfare Officer, District Backward Class Welfare Officer, District Minority Welfare Officer, District Program Officer, and other officials and staff from relevant departments.

The significant presence of esteemed citizens further enhanced the dignity of the event. At the conclusion of the ceremony, all the newly married couples were offered blessings for a happy and prosperous marital life.
