Villagers Plagued by Potholes and Waterlogging

The main road connecting Bhadsahia to Sirsiya in the Haraiya Satgharwa development block of Balrampur district has become a daily ordeal for local villagers. Deep potholes and waterlogging on the road are causing significant difficulties for commuters, increasing the risk of accidents.

This road is crucial for the region, used daily by approximately ten thousand people for their daily activities. From pedestrians to motorcyclists, everyone faces severe challenges in commuting due to the road's deplorable condition. The situation worsens during the monsoon season, when mud and water fill the road, making it difficult to discern the road from the potholes.

Connectivity Severely Affected

The road's dilapidated state is not only inconvenient for daily commuters but also impacts the region's connectivity. Local residents, including Pankaj, Ramesh, Suresh, Ajay, and Bablu, have expressed strong anger towards the concerned departments and administration regarding this serious issue.

They state that the current condition is a result of the road not being repaired for a long time, which not only affects daily life but also hinders the movement of goods vehicles. This indirectly impacts local businesses as well.

Growing Chaos and Accident Risks

Villagers report that the potholes on the road are so deep they can cause accidents at any moment. Especially at night, due to the lack of lighting, identifying and avoiding these potholes becomes extremely difficult. Several motorcyclists have already been injured after falling into these potholes.

Driving becomes arduous due to mud and waterlogging, significantly increasing travel time. Children and the elderly face particular hardship while navigating this route.

Demand for Immediate Repair

The villagers have demanded that the government and local authorities begin the road construction and repair work with immediate effect. They believe that improving the road's condition will provide significant relief to thousands of people in the region and make travel safer.

Local residents hope that the department will take concrete action on their complaints soon and restore the region's connectivity. They have also submitted a memorandum to the concerned officials requesting prompt action for road construction.
