Mass Wedding Ceremony Unites 67 Couples

Under the Uttar Pradesh government's ambitious Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme, a grand ceremony in Balrampur district saw 67 couples united in matrimony. Held at Maya Hotel in Sadar tehsil, the event aimed to ensure dignified marriages for daughters from economically weaker families.

Financial Aid and Gifts for Newlyweds

As part of this initiative, the newly married couples were provided with financial assistance of up to ₹1 lakh and gift items, offering much-needed support to families in need. A total of 67 couples exchanged vows during the ceremony.

Religious Harmony in Celebration

Of the 67 couples, 44 celebrated their union according to Hindu customs with Vedic chants, while 23 couples were married according to Muslim traditions. This event served as an excellent example of social harmony and camaraderie, with couples from different faiths coming together.

Esteemed Dignitaries Grace the Occasion

Local public representatives and administrative officials attended the dignified ceremony. Notable attendees included MLA Sadar Paltoo Ram, MLA Tulsipur Kailash Nath Shukla, District Panchayat President Arti Shukla, Municipal Council President's representative, Block Pramukh of Balrampur Vikas Khand, Chief Development Officer Himanshu Gupta, District Development Officer Kamlesh Soni, District Social Welfare Officer Dr. Rahul Gupta, and District Minority Welfare Officer Yashwant Maurya.

Guests blessed the newlyweds and wished them a happy, prosperous, and auspicious married life. They lauded the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme, stating it not only provides marriage opportunities for daughters of economically weaker families but also strengthens equality and social harmony in society.

Scheme Details and Financial Support

MLA Sadar Paltoo Ram described the scheme as a significant social security and public welfare initiative of the state government. He highlighted that under the Chief Minister's leadership, the assistance amount per couple has been increased to ₹1,00,000, proving extremely beneficial for poor and needy families.

Breakdown of Financial Assistance

The financial aid of ₹1,00,000 is allocated as follows:

  • ₹64,000 is directly deposited into the bride's bank account.
  • ₹21,000 worth of gift items are given to the newlyweds.
  • ₹15,000 is spent on organizing the wedding ceremony and other arrangements.

 

Festive Atmosphere and Arrangements

The venue was attractively decorated, with adequate arrangements for food, drinking water, and seating for the newlyweds and their families. All wedding and Nikah rituals were conducted in a dignified and festive atmosphere, creating a unique ambiance of social harmony and celebration throughout the event.
