Special Voter List Campaign Underway in Balrampur
In compliance with the directives of the Election Commission of India, a special voter registration campaign is being organized in Balrampur district. The primary objective of this significant campaign is to ensure that the names of all eligible citizens are accurately included in the electoral rolls without errors.
Special camps have been set up at all 1805 polling stations across the district. Here, eligible youth who are set to become first-time voters, along with other eligible citizens, are being encouraged to fill out Form-6 to add their names to the voter list. This initiative lays the foundation for a fair and inclusive electoral process, where every eligible individual can exercise their right to choose their representatives.
Focus on Youth Participation
This initiative is specifically targeting young individuals who have recently turned 18 years of age. District Election Officer Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain personally conducted an unscheduled inspection of booths number 408 and 409 at the Primary School Shivanagar in the Tulsipur area to assess the progress of the campaign. He obtained detailed information from the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) regarding the number of applications received and the registration process.
The District Magistrate emphasized that no eligible citizen should be deprived of registering their name in the voter list. Ensuring that every qualified citizen has the opportunity to participate in the democratic process is a top priority for the administration.
Promoting Youth Engagement in Democracy
Highlighting the importance of active youth participation in the democratic process, the District Magistrate instructed officials to identify and motivate young individuals who have turned 18 in their respective areas to register as voters. He believes that the voice of the youth plays a crucial role in policy-making and governance, and exercising the right to vote is an integral part of this process.
He stated that the youth are the future architects of the nation, and a strong democracy cannot be envisioned without their participation.
BLOs have been directed to work with the latest copies of the electoral roll to prepare an accurate and up-to-date list. Special training is also being provided to BLOs to ensure that no errors occur. A dedicated team comprising 1805 BLOs, 24 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, and 4 Electoral Registration Officers is working in coordination to ensure the smooth execution of this comprehensive campaign. They are committed to faithfully completing this entire process.
Campaign Continuity and Appeal
The administration has clarified that this special voter registration campaign is not limited to a single day. The District Magistrate announced that special camps will also be organized on October 24, 2026, at all 1805 polling stations in the district. These camps will operate from 10 AM to 4 PM, allowing more citizens to register their names in the voter list.
The announcement of this additional date aims to provide another opportunity for those who were unable to register on the previously scheduled date for any reason. The administration has appealed to all citizens of the district whose names are not yet included in the voter list to visit their nearest polling station and fill out Form-6. This process is a crucial step towards ensuring a transparent, inclusive, and comprehensive voter list for the upcoming elections.
This is essential not only for maintaining the integrity of electoral processes but also for ensuring that every citizen's voice is heard. Youth are being encouraged to actively participate in this national duty, enabling them to exercise their right to vote and contribute to shaping the nation's future. This campaign presents an excellent opportunity for citizens to fulfill their responsibilities.
