Significant Step Towards Legacy Waste Management
A major step has been taken towards the scientific disposal of approximately 65,000 metric tonnes of old waste, termed 'legacy waste,' accumulated over decades in the Balrampur Municipality Council area. The state government has provided administrative and financial approval of ₹2 crore 62 lakh 94 thousand for this crucial project.
Modern Machinery to Tackle Waste Pile
This funding will be used to establish state-of-the-art processing machinery. This machinery will scientifically sort, process, and dispose of the vast accumulation of waste, offering a permanent solution to the problem. This decision is a result of the continuous efforts by Municipal President Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh ‘Dhiru’, with significant guidance and support from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Urban Development Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma.
Ensuring Environmental Compliance and Cleaner City
The proposed modern machinery will separate various components of the waste, ensuring their disposal according to prescribed government regulations. The completion of this process will not only reduce the burden of old waste accumulated at disposal sites but also make the city's overall sanitation system more effective and robust.
Improving Sanitation and Citizen Well-being
The primary goal of the Municipality administration is to develop Balrampur as a clean, beautiful, and garbage-free city. The scientific disposal of legacy waste will prove to be a milestone in this direction. Municipal President Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh ‘Dhiru’ described this financial approval as a permanent solution to a decades-old problem, stating that providing citizens with a better and healthier environment is the Municipality's top priority.
A New Era for Balrampur's Sanitation
He expressed confidence that upon the completion of this project, Balrampur's sanitation system will receive a new direction, and the city will establish a distinct identity in the field of sanitation. The commitment to continue working in a planned manner for the city's beautification and development in the future was reiterated.
This initiative also reflects the government's commitment to urban development and environmental management.
