Flood Preparedness Measures Underway in Balrampur
The district administration in Balrampur is diligently engaged in preparing for potential floods and river erosion. In a recent development, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue), Ms. Jyoti Rai, conducted an on-site inspection of the Kodarighat embankment, located in Tehsil Balrampur Sadar.
During the inspection, she reviewed the ongoing flood fighting (flood control) works on the embankment and provided necessary directives. Ms. Rai gathered detailed information about the progress of the works from the concerned officials and representatives of the executing agency. She also observed the available resources on-site.
Prioritizing Embankment Security
Ms. Jyoti Rai emphasized that the security of the embankment must be given the highest priority. She stressed that all essential flood fighting activities should be completed on a war footing to prevent any erosion or potential damage in a timely manner.

Vigilance and Continuous Monitoring Mandated
The Additional District Magistrate instructed officials to maintain constant surveillance on the river's water level and the condition of the embankment. She stated that wherever additional security measures are required, necessary materials and human resources should be immediately provided to ensure prompt action.
She clarified that any laxity in the work will not be tolerated under any circumstances and that all arrangements must remain operational with full readiness. Ms. Jyoti Rai informed that all sensitive erosion points in the district are under regular monitoring.
Teams from relevant departments are continuously assessing the situation from the field and carrying out immediate flood fighting works as needed. The district administration has directed the concerned departments to ensure adequate availability of all necessary resources and to be fully prepared to handle any emergency situation.
