Balrampur Municipality organized a health camp for sanitation workers, providing free medical check-ups, medicines, and Ayushman Bharat cards.

The Ideal Nagar Palika Parishad of Balrampur has prioritized the health and safety of its sanitation staff by organizing a special health camp. During the camp, medical personnel conducted thorough health examinations and distributed free medicines as needed.
Additionally, the facility to enroll eligible beneficiaries for Ayushman Bharat cards was made available, ensuring they can access healthcare services. This initiative aims to strengthen the well-being of the essential workers dedicated to keeping the city clean.
“It is the utmost responsibility of the municipality to look after the health and safety of our sanitation workers,” stated D.P. Singh Bais, representative of the Municipality President, appreciating their invaluable contribution. He pledged to continue organizing such health camps in the future to safeguard employees from health risks.
Commitment to Worker Health and Safety
Executive Officer Lal Chandra Maurya emphasized the administration's dedication to ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees involved in sanitation. He urged workers to not ignore any health issues and to make regular health check-ups a routine part of their lives.
He believes that a healthy employee can perform their duties more efficiently. City Health Officer Dr. Anil Kumar Chaudhary provided detailed information on personal hygiene, the importance of pure drinking water, and workplace precautions, explaining how these measures can prevent serious communicable diseases.
Launch of Communicable Disease Control Campaign
On the occasion of the health fair, information was also shared about a special Communicable Disease Control Campaign scheduled to run from October 1 to October 31, 2026. This campaign will be conducted under the joint aegis of nine departments, aiming to raise public awareness about preventing waterlogging and mosquito breeding.
Furthermore, a door-to-door campaign, 'Ghar-Ghar Dastak Abhiyan', will be conducted from October 12 to October 31, 2026, to increase vigilance against communicable diseases among the general public.
The health camp was attended by other departmental officials and employees, including Dr. A.K. Shukla, Dr. Meenakshi Chaudhary, Dr. Akash Singh, and Dr. Suraj Pathak. This event boosted the morale of the workers, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the municipality administration.
