Consistent, heavy rainfall over the past three days in the district of Balrampur has completely disrupted normal life. Severe waterlogging has occurred in many low-lying areas of the city, causing significant difficulties for residents attempting to commute.

Additionally, strong winds have led to numerous trees and electricity poles falling across various locations, resulting in a complete power outage. The teams of the Ideal Municipal Council Balrampur, under the capable leadership of Chairman Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh 'Dhiru', are engaged in intensive relief and rescue operations to combat these adverse conditions.

Intensive Relief and Restoration Efforts Underway

Municipal council employees are actively working in affected areas, clearing roads by removing fallen trees and other obstructions to restore traffic flow. Simultaneously, concerted efforts are being made to streamline the drainage system to alleviate waterlogging as quickly as possible.

Ensuring Continuous Water Supply Amidst Power Outages

The Municipal Administration has prioritized the uninterrupted supply of drinking water. To prevent residents from facing water shortages even with the disruption in electricity, generators have been arranged for the city's large water tanks. This measure ensures that water supply remains consistent even during the inclement weather.

Citizens Urged to Exercise Caution

“I urge all citizens to exercise extreme caution during this adverse weather. It is advisable to avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from waterlogged areas, fallen electricity poles, or exposed wires,” advised Municipal Chairman Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh 'Dhiru'.

The council's teams are continuously monitoring affected areas to manage any emergency situations. Public safety and the provision of essential services are stated as the administration's foremost priorities.

Helpline Activated for Citizen Grievances

The Municipal Council has activated the helpline number 1533 for the swift resolution of citizens' problems and complaints. Contact numbers for other relevant officials, including Executive Officer Lal Chandra Maurya, Water JE Dharmendra Gaur, and Sanitation Inspector Diwakar Pandey, have also been released to provide immediate assistance when needed.
