The Cliff News | Balrampur | September 30, 2026 Preparations for the upcoming Assembly General Elections-2027 in Balrampur have gained momentum. The First Level Checking (FLC) of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines will officially commence on Tuesday.
In view of this crucial process, District Election Officer Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain, along with Superintendent of Police Martand Prakash Singh, conducted an impromptu inspection of the warehouse to review the arrangements. During the inspection, the District Magistrate emphasized strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) set by the Election Commission of India.
He clarified that security arrangements at the FLC site must be extremely tight. Entry passes have been made mandatory for all officers and staff involved in the work, and entry without an authorized pass will be strictly prohibited. He also directed that adequate police force be deployed at the site to ensure the entire process is conducted transparently and systematically.

A total of 1752 polling stations have been designated in the district. For these polling stations, the scrutiny of 2540 Ballot Units, 2540 Control Units, and 2540 VVPAT machines will begin on September 29. This process will be conducted daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM until the stipulated date.
