With the aim of elevating health services in the Balrampur district, District Magistrate Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain conducted an on-site inspection of the Community Health Centre (CHC) Sadulalnagar. He reviewed the available health facilities and interacted directly with patients to gather information about the medical services they were receiving.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate meticulously examined various sections of the hospital, including the wards, emergency room, Newborn Stabilization Unit (NBSU), and the labor room. He inquired from admitted patients about their issues, the medical advice they were given, and the availability of essential medicines, seeking their feedback on the health services.

Strengthening Labor Room and Delivery Services

The District Magistrate also thoroughly assessed the arrangements for delivery services at the CHC. He stressed the importance of providing high-quality and safe delivery facilities to pregnant women. To this end, he announced that ₹10 lakh from the Critical Gap fund will be allocated to further strengthen the CHC's labor room.

This funding will be utilized to enhance necessary facilities and arrangements in the labor room, thereby improving delivery-related services. He has directed the concerned officials to complete this work promptly and with quality.

Regular Operation Theatre Functionality and Anesthesia Arrangement

The District Magistrate also inspected the Operation Theatre (OT) and instructed for its regular operation. He stated that to provide necessary surgical facilities at the CHC level locally, anesthesia arrangements will be ensured on a rotational basis. This step will enable local patients to receive immediate treatment, reducing the need for unnecessary referrals to other hospitals and saving time and resources.

Evaluation and Demolition of Unused Buildings

While touring the hospital premises, the District Magistrate also observed the condition of unused buildings. He directed the concerned officials to evaluate these buildings according to regulations and subsequently commence demolition proceedings. The objective is to ensure better and safer utilization of the premises.

Dr. Jain emphasized the need for special attention to cleanliness, essential facilities for patients, availability of medicines, and the overall quality of health services at the health center. He stressed that it must be ensured that every patient visiting the CHC receives the best possible health facility.

Chief Development Officer Himanshu Gupta, along with health department officials and other relevant staff, were present during this inspection.
