District Administration Intensifies Action Against Illegal Mining

Balrampur | The Balrampur district administration has significantly increased its vigilance against illegal mining and the illicit transportation of minerals. Acting on the directives of District Magistrate Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain, the mining department conducted a special night-time enforcement campaign aimed at effectively curbing these illegal activities.

Six Vehicles Apprehended, Heavy Fines Levied

During this extensive operation, a total of six vehicles were apprehended for transporting minerals in violation of regulations. The enforcement team imposed a substantial financial penalty of INR 1,64,240 across five of these vehicles. Additionally, one vehicle was seized and handed over to the Kotwali Nagar Police Station due to severe irregularities found within it.

Zero Tolerance Policy in Effect for Mineral Transport

This enforcement campaign is a direct result of the District Magistrate's mandate to adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal mining and mineral transportation within the district. The administration is undertaking special measures to ensure all mining and transport activities adhere strictly to legal frameworks.

The District Magistrate has issued clear instructions that complete adherence to all mining and transport-related regulations within the district's borders is mandatory. Strict punitive action will be ensured against those transporting minerals without valid documentation.

The night-time operation was specifically designed to intercept illegal activities that often take advantage of darkness. These regulations encompass limits on mineral extraction, transportation permits, and the mandatory possession of necessary documents, with penalties in place for any violations.

Awareness and Continued Enforcement

The administration has warned the respective vehicle owners to conduct their operations strictly within the stipulated rules. The objective of this action extends beyond mere punishment; it aims to make all stakeholders aware of the regulations. The district administration's campaign against illegal mining and mineral transportation will continue unabated to establish effective control over those violating government norms.

The intensive surveillance by the enforcement team will persist in the future, with no leniency to be shown towards offenders.
