Balrampur: Cobblers to Receive Free Modern Shops, Roads to be Constructed
Balrampur Municipality to provide free modern shops to cobblers, addressing their needs and improving working conditions.

Initiative for Cobbler Community in Balrampur
An important initiative has been launched in Balrampur town for cobblers who traditionally earn a living by stitching shoes. The President of the Municipal Council, Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh ‘Dhiru’, directly engaged with approximately 30 cobbler brothers working under the open sky in various parts of the city, enduring heat and rain. Their problems, needs, and expectations were listened to attentively.
Following this direct dialogue, a decision was made to provide them with modern and well-equipped shops free of charge. The cobblers present at the meeting were honored, and they shared their difficulties and the lack of basic facilities they face in their work. President Dr. Dhiru assured solutions to these problems.
He stated that all identified workers will soon be provided with shops equipped with proper seating arrangements, fans, electricity, lighting, and essential modern kits, free of cost. The primary aim of this initiative is to free hardworking laborers from the compulsion of working in adverse conditions, enabling them to advance their traditional business in a dignified environment and support their families with self-reliance.
Honoring Labor and Skill
This initiative is being hailed as a significant step towards respecting labor and skill. It will provide a better workplace and necessary facilities to the needy section of society, assisting cobbler brothers in honing their skills and earning a livelihood with dignity. This step will not only improve the living standards of the workers but also give them a distinct identity in society.
Deepotsav Deadline for Deepwa Bagh Road Construction
Along with addressing the issues of the cobbler community, another crucial public welfare matter was decided during the meeting. A target has been set to complete the construction of the road from the temple of the revered Saint Shiromani Shri Ravidas Ji to Deepwa Bagh before Diwali. Efforts will be made to commence the construction of this important road soon.
The construction of this route will significantly ease commuting for citizens, devotees, and local residents of the area. The need for this road has been felt for a long time, and the steps being taken towards its swift construction are generating enthusiasm among the local populace.
Ensuring Benefits of Welfare Schemes Reach Eligible Families
It was also clarified during the meeting that eligible families who have not yet received benefits from the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme, pension, or any other welfare scheme should submit the necessary application forms. All such families, in accordance with their eligibility, will be provided with all possible support to avail the benefits of various government schemes. The priority is to ensure that government schemes reach needy and eligible families, so that no one is deprived of these benefits due to a lack of information or incomplete procedures.
Present on this occasion were Executive Officer Lal Chandra Maurya, District Vice President Sanjay Shukla, Gaurav Mishra, Vidya Sagar Gautam, Ram Sagar, Bajarangi Kumar, Santu, and other dignitaries, along with members of the labor community. At the end of the program, the commitment to honor the cobbler brothers, resolve their issues, and provide them with a better and dignified working environment was reiterated.
