Workshop Focuses on Enhancing Health Services

A significant workshop was organized in Balrampur with the aim of further strengthening maternal and child health services and achieving the 100% goal for routine immunization. The meeting, held on Thursday at Hotel Aditya Inn, was presided over by District Magistrate Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain.

During the meeting, health department officials engaged in an in-depth discussion regarding the micro-planning of vaccinations and the effective implementation of VHND sessions. District Magistrate Dr. Jain issued clear directives to all medical officers to prepare updated due lists for children and pregnant women at every gram panchayat and health sub-centre level.

Prioritizing Unvaccinated Children

He specifically stressed that identifying children who are unvaccinated or partially immunized should be the highest priority. To make this process effective, the District Magistrate instructed for better coordination among ASHA, ANM, and Anganwadi workers, and to ensure advance notification to beneficiaries regarding vaccinations.

Special Campaigns for Remote Areas

The District Magistrate has ordered special monitoring of remote and low-coverage areas of the district at the administrative level. Emphasis was placed on conducting special campaigns to ensure health services reach the last mile in these regions. Dr. Jain also clarified that routine immunization is the most effective and economical way to protect children from serious and life-threatening diseases, and it needs to be further strengthened through public awareness.

The primary objective of this workshop is to overcome potential obstacles in the implementation of health services and to achieve 100% vaccination coverage in the district. On this occasion, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mukesh Rastogi, along with several senior officials from the health department, various medical officers, and concerned health workers, were present. The health department will now prepare a detailed action plan in accordance with the issued directives, which will give new momentum to the vaccination campaign and ensure all targeted populations in the district receive their timely health security cover.
