Pre-Festival Preparations Underway in Balrampur
A crucial meeting was held on Sunday at the auditorium of M.L.K.P.G. College in Balrampur to ensure the peaceful, harmonious, and orderly conduct of major upcoming festivals, including Navratri, Durga Puja, Ramleela, and Dussehra. The meeting was organized by Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh ‘Dhiru’, Chairman of the Ideal Nagar Palika Parishad Balrampur.
Attendees included office bearers of various puja committees, public representatives, administrative and police officials, and many esteemed citizens of the district. The primary agenda focused on detailed discussions regarding cleanliness, water supply, lighting, traffic management, and security within the city.
The proposed routes for processions and parades, along with the essential facilities at Ramleela and Durga Puja venues, were also reviewed. Representatives from various committees presented their concerns and suggestions, with officials from relevant departments assuring prompt action.
Emphasis on Peace and Harmony During Religious Events
Presiding over the event was senior advocate Raj Kumar Srivastava, with Mahant Brijanand Ji Maharaj of Udaseen Sangat Gelhapur and local MLA Paltu Ram attending as chief guests.
MLA Paltu Ram, in his address, stated that festivals like Navratri, Durga Puja, Ramleela, and Dussehra are integral to our religious and cultural life. He stressed that as a large number of devotees participate, all organizing committees must maintain continuous coordination with the administration to ensure a peaceful and harmonious environment.
The MLA clarified that the government and administration will provide all possible support to maintain smooth security and basic arrangements. Describing the festivals as symbols of social unity and mutual brotherhood, he urged everyone to work together for their successful celebration, spreading a message of love and goodwill in society.
Administrative Commitment to Safety and Basic Amenities
The primary objective of the meeting was to ensure that all upcoming festivals are celebrated without any disruptions. Special attention was highlighted on security measures for these culturally and religiously significant events. The administration discussed plans to identify all potential sensitive points and deploy additional security forces.
A detailed plan for traffic management was also formulated to prevent any inconvenience to devotees and maintain the festive spirit. Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh ‘Dhiru’, the Nagar Palika Chairman, emphasized prioritizing the convenience of devotees.
He assured that the Nagar Palika Parishad would ensure robust arrangements for cleanliness, water, and lighting around the puja pandals and main event venues. Dr. Dhiru appealed to all committees to adhere to the rules and guidelines set by the administration.
He particularly stressed that Balrampur has always been known for its mutual brotherhood and social harmony, and it is our collective responsibility to preserve this. The Nagar Palika administration will work with relevant departments to ensure devotees do not face any difficulties during any event. Special attention will also be paid to maintaining cleanliness throughout the entire process, from the installation of puja pandals to immersion.

Present at the meeting were Sub-Divisional Magistrate Manoj Kumar, Circle Officer of City Police Abhishek Singh, Working President of the Central Durga Puja Committee Avinash Mishra, and many other dignitaries. The program was moderated by Sanjay Shukla.
The meeting's primary goal was to conduct the upcoming festivals in a safe, clean, and disciplined environment, allowing the city's rich cultural traditions to be upheld with dignity. Officials assured all committees that their issues would be resolved in a timely manner, preventing any disruptions during the celebrations and ensuring all festivals are celebrated joyfully.
The Nagar Palika Chairman specifically mentioned that strict adherence to rules controlling noise pollution and preventing encroachment on public spaces would be ensured, maintaining a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere in the city.
