Court Rejects Bail for Accused in Car Rape Case
In a disturbing incident within the Surpura police station area of Bhind district, the bail application of Vivek Yadav, an accused in a car rape case involving a young woman, has been dismissed by the court. The Third Additional Sessions Judge Ajit Kumar Tirkey denied relief to the accused.
The case implicates Vivek Yadav for allegedly aiding the main accused, Sumit Yadav. The incident occurred on July 15 when the victim was waiting for an auto-rickshaw near the Hanuman temple in Surpura.
Accused Allegedly Aided Main Perpetrator
According to the prosecution, the main accused, Sumit Yadav, arrived with Vivek Yadav in a white car. Sumit inquired about the victim's destination, and upon learning she was going to her aunt's house in Nawali, he persuaded her to get into the car.
The victim recounted that Sumit sat in the back seat with her, while Vivek Yadav drove the vehicle. They transported her to the fort in Ater.
Rape and Threats Alleged at Fort
It is alleged that upon reaching the fort, Sumit proceeded to rape the victim inside the car. Following the assault, Sumit reportedly threatened to kill the victim if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
Subsequently, both accused dropped her near the Para intersection and fled. The victim contacted her uncle after the incident and narrated the ordeal.
Police Action and Court's Decision
A case was registered at the Surpura police station, and an investigation commenced. Vivek Yadav was arrested on July 18 and subsequently presented before the court, from where he was sent to judicial custody.
Advocate Ramkaran Sharma filed the bail petition on behalf of Vivek Yadav. During the hearing, advocate Himanshu Sharma, representing the victim, vehemently opposed the bail application and presented arguments. After hearing both sides, the Third Additional Sessions Judge Ajit Kumar Tirkey ordered the cancellation of the bail petition.
