Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari Begin Shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya

Sooraj Barjatya has begun filming his next directorial, Yeh Prem Mol Liya, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari Wagh. The romantic family entertainer is produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films.

The shoot kicked off in Mumbai on November 1, with a 60-day start-to-finish schedule. The team recently completed a week-long song sequence in Kandivali, featuring over 200 background dancers, before moving to Mehboob Studios for the main drama and family portions.

According to a Mid Day report, 80% of the film will be shot on elaborate indoor sets built across three floors of Mehboob Studios, while a few outdoor patch shoots will follow. The team aims to wrap up filming by January 2026.

The film also stars Anupam Kher, Seema Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak in pivotal roles.

Earlier rumored to be titled Prem Ki Shaadi, the film’s official name—Yeh Prem Mol Liya—was confirmed when a photographer shared a clapperboard image from the sets.

Speaking to PTI, Barjatya expressed his trademark humility and nerves ahead of the project:

“I’ve had this nervousness since Maine Pyaar Kiya. It’s not about box office numbers—it’s about whether you’re able to connect with people. My biggest challenge is to create a world that feels honest and relatable. I believe it’s important to keep making family films.”
