Ayush Shetty secured a men's singles medal at the Badminton Asia Championships in Ningbo, China, on Friday. This achievement comes eight years after HS Prannoy's bronze medal win.

The 20-year-old Shetty ousted world No. 4 Jonatan Christie of Indonesia with a score of 23-21, 21-17. This win extends his impressive run, following his victory over Asian Games gold medallist Li Shi Feng in the first round.
