'Government at Your Doorstep' Initiative a Success
The district of Bhind, specifically the Janpad Panchayat Ater, successfully organized the 'Government at Your Doorstep' program as part of the 'Seva Setu' campaign at the Government High School in Para. The primary objective of this citizen-centric initiative was to deliver the benefits of various government schemes directly to eligible beneficiaries and provide prompt solutions to their problems.
The event saw the presence of Member of Parliament Smt. Sandhya Rai as the chief guest. She was accompanied by Devendra Singh Dadda, elder brother of former minister Arvind Singh Bhadoria, along with local public representatives, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM), Deputy Collector, Sarpanch, Secretary, and officials and staff from various departments. Numerous departmental stalls were set up for the convenience of the public.
Swift Resolution and Benefit Distribution
During the organized camp, a total of 350 applications were received from citizens. The administration acted promptly, resolving the majority of the issues on the spot.
- 14 pension-related cases from the Social Justice Department were resolved.
- 04 Sambal card cases were processed.
- 02 applications for ex-gratia assistance were settled.
Beneficiaries for these cases were provided with the relevant certificates. In a related development, 05 eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) received their sanction letters for housing. These beneficiaries will now receive financial assistance and other benefits as per the scheme.
Facilitating Public Welfare Schemes
The main goal of the event was to ensure the easy accessibility of the government's public welfare schemes to the common citizens. Officials provided information about various government schemes and explained the eligibility criteria to the attendees.
This initiative has accelerated the effective implementation of local development works and public welfare policies at the grassroots level. The attendees lauded the administration's efforts. Officials assured that similar camps would be organized in the future to ensure public convenience and extend the benefits of government schemes to a larger number of people.
