Aryan Khan Wins First Award, Dedicates It to Mother Gauri Khan

Bollywood star kid Aryan Khan celebrated a milestone in his career by winning his first award as a director, choosing to dedicate it to his mother rather than his superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan.

Aryan received the Best Debutant Director of the Year award for his Netflix directorial debut at a major Indian broadcast channel event, The Bads of Bollywood*. In his acceptance speech, he jokingly referenced his father, saying, “Just like my dad, I love awards,” but clarified that this honor was for Gauri Khan, crediting her guidance, encouragement, and life lessons that shaped his professional journey.

He also thanked his cast, crew, and Netflix for trusting a first-time director. Aryan was joined by his grandmother Savita Chhibber, who was visibly moved during the speech.

The Bads of Bollywood*, a satirical take on the Hindi film industry, has already received acclaim and was named one of IMDb’s Most Popular Indian Series of 2025.
