Tragic Bus-Lorry Collision
A devastating road accident occurred near Rayavaram in Markapuram, Andhra Pradesh, early Thursday morning. The collision between a private bus and a tipper lorry resulted in a fire and multiple casualties.
The incident took place between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The bus, belonging to Harikrishna Travels, was en route from Nirmal in Telangana to Vinjamuru in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.
Casualties and Injuries
13 people died on the spot as a result of the accident. Their bodies have been recovered. 25 others were injured and admitted to the Government Hospital in Markapuram.
"Out of 41 passengers in the bus, 13 persons died on the spot and their bodies were collected. Among 25 injured persons admitted in Government Hospital in Markapuram, 10 suffered severe injuries and five were in critical condition. The five critical persons will be shifted to Guntur GGH."
