‘Amrita Singh traumatised me’: Orry opens up on fallout with Sara Ali Khan and family

Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has spoken candidly about his strained relationship with actor Sara Ali Khan and her family, claiming that unresolved personal issues lie at the heart of their public fallout.

In a recent interview, the 30-year-old said his distance from Sara, her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan, and their mother Amrita Singh stems from what he described as “trauma” caused by the veteran actor.

‘I can’t pretend everything is fine’

Explaining why he unfollowed Sara Ali Khan on social media, Orry said he could no longer maintain appearances.

“I unfollowed Sara a while ago… and I haven’t followed Ibrahim in years,” he said, adding, “Pretending to be friends with Sara means pretending to be okay with the trauma her mother put me through, and I just don’t think I can do that anymore.”

While Orry did not go into details about the alleged trauma, he stressed that his decision was personal and deliberate.

Apology could lead to closure

When asked if reconciliation was possible, Orry said an apology from Amrita Singh could open the door to resolution.

“If Amrita Singh were to apologise, I could maybe see myself letting it go in the future,” he said, suggesting that the matter remains unresolved but not beyond repair.

Comments on Sara’s career spark backlash

The feud has also played out online, with Orry drawing criticism for remarks about Sara Ali Khan’s filmography. A comment referencing “Sara Ali Khan’s hits” went viral, with many interpreting it as a dig at her acting career.

Defending himself, Orry said the remark was meant as light humour. “I don’t really think I said anything wrong… it was just a small joke. The internet makes fun of Sara’s movies all the time. People joke about me being jobless too. It’s not that deep,” he said.

Social media exchanges fuel tensions

Tensions escalated after Sara and Ibrahim reportedly unfollowed Orry on Instagram. Responding to online queries, he remarked that the unfollowing had happened long ago and that they had “just caught up”.

Further controversy followed when Orry replied to a comment saying “Amrita aunty is very angry” with, “Put a glass of ice water on her head.” The response drew criticism for being dismissive.

A separate reel referencing “3 worst names”, widely interpreted as targeting Sara Ali Khan, Amrita Singh and actor Palak Tiwari, was later deleted after backlash.

Fallout continues to draw attention

While neither Sara Ali Khan nor her family has publicly responded to Orry’s claims, the episode has reignited debate around celebrity friendships, online boundaries and the impact of social media disputes spilling into the public domain.

For now, the rift appears unresolved — with Orry making it clear that reconciliation, if it happens, will depend on accountability rather than optics.
