Residents Voice Grievances Over Stalled Railway Underpass Project

Local villagers in Amethi are increasingly frustrated by the ongoing delays in the construction of a railway underpass. The project, pending for two years at the railway crossing near Gandhi Nagar Bazaar, has severely impacted the daily commute for residents.

Popular MP Kishori Lal Sharma met with the villagers on Sunday, listening to their plight and assuring them of his intervention. He pledged to meet with the Union Railway Minister to expedite the commencement of the construction work.

MP Engages with Locals, Promises Action

MP Kishori Lal Sharma, accompanied by District President Pradeep Singhal and senior leader Anurag Singh, visited the site to engage with the affected residents. The villagers conveyed how the prolonged railway crossing issue not only inconveniences their daily movement but also results in significant time wastage.

They highlighted that the problem is exacerbated during emergencies, emphasizing the critical need for the underpass. The MP took the villagers' concerns very seriously, engaging in discussions with relevant officials over the phone.

"This is a crucial issue affecting public welfare, and every possible effort will be made to resolve it," MP Kishori Lal Sharma stated.

Underpass Project Acceleration Promised

MP Kishori Lal Sharma assured the villagers that he would soon meet with the Railway Minister to urge them to accelerate the railway underpass construction in Amethi and ensure the timely completion of the pending work.

This assurance has brought a ray of hope to the local community. The villagers expressed their gratitude to the MP for taking initiative to address their public grievance.

Present at the occasion were Gram Pradhan Ghulam Waris, Lal Chandra Barnwal, Jagatpal Pasi, Rajkumar Maurya, Hanuman Tiwari, Dinesh Singh, Jitendra Kumar Sharma, and several other local residents.
