Amazon Unveils Four New Echo Devices with Alexa+ AI Assistant

Amazon has announced the launch of four new Echo devices featuring Alexa+, its next-generation AI assistant. The new lineup includes the Echo Dot Max, Echo Studio, Echo Show 8, and Echo Show 11, all designed with enhanced processing power, edge-based computing, and advanced sensing technology to deliver more personalized and ambient AI experiences. Customers purchasing any of the new Echo devices will automatically get access to Alexa+ out of the box.

At the heart of these devices are two new custom chips, AZ3 and AZ3 Pro, equipped with AI accelerators for advanced speech, vision, and ambient interaction. The Echo Dot Max, priced at $99.99, features a redesigned two-speaker system with nearly three times the bass of its predecessor. The Echo Studio, priced at $219.99, offers a compact yet powerful speaker with spatial audio and Dolby Atmos support.

The Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 smart displays come with upgraded HD visuals, improved audio, and intelligent sensing. Both feature 13-megapixel cameras that adjust displays to lighting conditions and personalize interactions by recognizing users approaching the device. The Echo Show 8 will retail at $179.99, while the Echo Show 11 will be available for $219.99.

Beyond hardware upgrades, Alexa+ offers deeper conversational abilities and smarter functionality across daily life, covering home organization, entertainment, health, wellness, and shopping. Amazon also announced the upcoming Alexa+ Store, a hub for discovering third-party services and integrations.

The Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio will be available starting October 29, while the Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 are set to launch on November 12.
