Alliance Air Launches ‘Fare Se Fursat’ to Simplify Air Travel Pricing

Fixed Fares Aim to Reduce Booking Stress

In a bid to simplify air travel costs for passengers, Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu inaugurated the Fare Se Fursat initiative, introduced by the government-owned regional airline, Alliance Air.

The scheme offers single, fixed airfares that remain constant regardless of the booking date, including on the day of departure. According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, this pilot program will operate on select routes until the end of 2025, allowing authorities to assess both operational feasibility and passenger response.

Promoting Predictable and Affordable Travel

Speaking at the launch, Minister Naidu emphasized that the program complements the UDAN regional connectivity scheme, aimed at democratizing air travel in India.

“Alliance Air is helping realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making aviation accessible and affordable for the middle, lower-middle, and neo-middle class,” Naidu said. He highlighted that static fares eliminate uncertainty, allowing passengers to plan trips without the stress of fluctuating prices—even for last-minute bookings.

Pilot Program to Test Passenger Response

The Ministry noted that the scheme will initially cover a limited set of regional routes. Feedback from this phase will determine the viability of expanding the program nationwide. Alliance Air hopes that predictable pricing will encourage more domestic travel and increase usage of regional air services, particularly in underserved areas.
