Unlicensed Cattle Slaughter Alleged in Kamalganj

A serious case of alleged unlicensed cattle slaughter has surfaced in Sheikhpur Rustampur village, within the Kamalganj police station area of Uttar Pradesh's Farrukhabad district. Local resident Dharmendra Kumar has sent a detailed complaint letter to the Additional Director General (ADG) of the Kanpur Zone, demanding an impartial investigation and strict action against those responsible.

In his letter, complainant Dharmendra Kumar alleges that illegal cattle slaughter has been ongoing in Sheikhpur Rustampur village for approximately the last three years. He further stated that he first lodged his complaint with the Chief Minister's Helpline 1076 on July 29, 2026. Prior to this, complaints were also made to relevant officials on July 25, but no significant action was taken.

Local Police Accused of Bias in Investigation

Dharmendra Kumar has also accused the local police of failing to take effective action. Specifically, he has demanded an investigation into the role of Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar Gautam, alleging that the Sub-Inspector submitted a purportedly biased report in an IGRS (Integrated Grievance Redressal System) complaint. According to the complainant, Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar Gautam submitted a report on August 3, 2026, concerning the complaint registered under IGRS reference number 9265900035547.

Dharmendra Kumar claims that the facts presented in this report do not match the actual situation. He emphasized that the photograph attached to the report is dated July 10, 2026, and was taken at a different location, not the alleged crime scene. This allegation suggests a potential lack of transparency in the investigation process.

Appeal for Impartial Investigation and Action from ADG

The complainant has urged the ADG to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the entire matter. He also requests a proper inquiry into the role of Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar Gautam. If unlicensed cattle slaughter is indeed occurring in the area, he demands that appropriate action be taken according to regulations to effectively halt it.

Currently, no official statement from the police or relevant government departments has been released regarding this matter. The veracity of the allegations made in the complaint can only be confirmed upon the completion of the investigation.
