Allegation of Ancestral Land Grabbing, Plea to DM to Halt Construction
Resident of Shariffpur Chhichhni alleges illegal occupation of ancestral land, urges immediate action and probe into official conduct.

Resident Accuses Villagers of Land Grabbing, Seeks DM's Intervention
Dinesh Kumar, a resident of Jaitpur, a hamlet in Shariffpur Chhichhni village, Kayamganj tehsil, Farrukhabad, has lodged a serious complaint with the District Magistrate, alleging that some villagers are forcibly occupying his ancestral land. He has demanded immediate action and an impartial inquiry into the matter.
Plea for Land Survey and Construction Halt
The victim has appealed for a fair investigation, a survey of the land, and the immediate cessation of ongoing construction work at the disputed site. According to the complaint, the land in question is Gata number 968, with an area of 0.3640 hectares. Despite the land being duly recorded in revenue documents, it is alleged that antisocial elements have illegally occupied it and are carrying out permanent construction.
Concerns Over Ongoing Construction Despite Previous Survey
Kumar stated that the Revenue Department had previously conducted investigations and surveys of the land. However, despite these actions, construction continues on the disputed property, raising significant concerns. This situation points to a disregard for official proceedings and potential complicity.
Allegations Against Revenue Officials
The complainant has also leveled serious accusations against the local Lekhpal (revenue official) and the Revenue Inspector, alleging a lack of impartiality in handling the case. Dinesh Kumar claims that these officials, allegedly in collusion with the influential party, have facilitated the commencement of construction work. These allegations have not been independently verified.
Questions Raised Over Police Inaction
According to the victim, he had also approached the local police station to report the construction and prevent it. However, it is alleged that due to pressure from a local influential political figure, the police action was not effective, and the construction continued unabated. This claim also remains unconfirmed.
Demand for Impartial Investigation from DM
Dinesh Kumar has urged the District Magistrate to conduct a thorough and impartial revenue and police investigation into the entire matter. He emphasized the need for an immediate survey of the land to clarify its actual status based on official records. He further requested strict action against the culprits as per law to prevent such incidents in the future.
