Alia Bhatt emerged as one of the standout personalities at the 5th Red Sea International Film Festival, receiving the prestigious Golden Globe Horizon Award, a recognition that marks a major milestone in her international career.

The announcement was made by the festival on Instagram. In its statement, Red Sea Film said:
“We’re proud to partner with the Golden Globes Awards to honor Hind Sabri with the Omar Sharif Award and Alia Bhatt with the Golden Globe Horizon Award… These two awards highlight the achievements of the brightest creative talents in the Middle East and North Africa.”

The festival also presented a special retrospective of Alia Bhatt’s filmography, tracing her evolution from a debut actor to one of Indian cinema’s most versatile and bankable stars.

The Red Sea Festival also unexpectedly became a launchpad for Alpha, the next entry in the YRF Spy Universe led by Alia. According to Deadline, the actor presented select early visuals from the upcoming film, offering a first glimpse into its tone, scale, and action-heavy momentum.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha marks the first-ever female-led instalment of the Spy Universe. The film co-stars Sharvari and Bobby Deol, and is slated for a 2026 release.

Speaking at the event, Alia said taking the lead in a franchise dominated by male action icons such as Tiger (Salman Khan), Kabir (Hrithik Roshan), and Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan) was both exciting and challenging.
