Alark Singh Lalla, prospective Gram Pradhan of Gadhi, has sharply criticized the long-standing negative perception of politics within society. He noted the prevalent notion that politics is not a field for individuals from respectable and good families.

Often, when a young person expresses a desire for public service, they are discouraged with advice to focus on studies or career. This trend alienates youth from active political participation, despite their energy and new ideas being critically needed today.

Changing the Mindset: Keeping Educated Youth Away from Politics Harms the System

According to Alark Singh Lalla, the biggest drawback of this suppressed mentality is that when educated and capable youth distance themselves from politics, the reins of the system fall into undeserving hands. He emphasized that if we wish to transform the face of society and the nation, the change must begin within our homes.

The primary responsibility of a family is to encourage their children, regardless of the field they show interest in. Especially if that interest lies in public service and politics, it should be guided positively. He stressed that the idea that politics is only for a select few, or a domain for those with no other options, is extremely detrimental.

In reality, politics is a platform from which significant changes can be brought about for the country and society. If well-raised, educated, and dedicated youth enter this field, they can undoubtedly make the system more transparent, accountable, and effective.

Building a Stronger System Through Youth Empowerment in Politics

From Panchayat elections to Lok Sabha polls, at any level, if a young person shows interest in politics, they should be encouraged rather than stopped. This will enable them to move forward and serve the public with integrity. They should receive necessary guidance and support to better understand the political process and contribute positively.

This step is significant not just for the youth but for the entire society. He also suggested that if one's own children are not inclined towards politics, there's no need to despair. In such cases, support any other capable candidate in society who has the passion to do better for the community. It is only when we support honest and capable individuals at every level that a responsible and strong system can be built.

It is our collective responsibility to elect leaders who truly possess the ability to serve the public and have a vision to advance the nation. The active participation of youth will form the foundation for the country's development and bring about positive changes in the political system, leading to the construction of a robust nation.
