Alampur police in Bhind district successfully arrested a wanted criminal with a Rs 5,000 bounty after a three-year manhunt.

Major Breakthrough in Criminal Apprehension
The Alampur Police station in Bhind district has achieved a significant success by arresting a notorious criminal, who had been absconding for three years and carried a bounty of Rs 5,000. The arrest took place near the Maa Barahi Devi Temple.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma and Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel, and under the guidance of Lahar SDOP Praveen Tripathi. The action was led by Alampur Station House Officer (SHO) Sohnish Tomar.
Background of the Case
According to sources, in 2023, a complainant filed a report at the Alampur police station against the accused and his associates, alleging a life-threatening attack with a gun and batons. The police promptly formed a team to apprehend the fugitive, and a reward of Rs 5,000 was announced for his capture.
Informant Leads to Arrest
Acting on a tip-off received today, stating that the wanted criminal was present near the Maa Barahi Devi Temple, the Alampur police immediately raided the area. The operation resulted in the successful apprehension of the accused.
The role of Alampur SHO Sohnish Tomar was commendable in this police action. Along with the SHO, ASI Omkar Singh Tomar, Santosh Kumar, Bhagwat Sariya, Yogendra Sharma, Shailendra Shukla, Siddhant Kaurav, Mangal Singh, Anil Baghel, Kanhaiya Lal, Hukum Singh, and Anurag Chhari also made significant contributions to the arrest.
The police are now conducting further investigations and are actively searching for the other absconding accused.
