Akshay Kumar is enjoying a significant box office resurgence with “Jolly LLB 3”, which has raked in Rs 93.50 crore in just 11 days. The film now ranks as his fourth-highest grosser since the pandemic, surpassing Kesari 2.
Following a mixed post-pandemic run, Akshay has steadily regained his box office stature with hits like Housefull 5, Sky Force, and Kesari 2. His latest release, Jolly LLB 3, featuring Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, and directed by Subhash Kapoor, has continued its strong performance into the second week, adding Rs 19.5 crore over the past four days.
Box Office Performance
In its first week, Jolly LLB 3 minted Rs 74 crore. The second weekend brought in Rs 16.5 crore, with Monday adding another Rs 3 crore, taking the total to Rs 93.50 crore. The film has now surpassed Akshay’s other recent releases, including:
-
Samrat Prithviraj – Rs 68.25 crore
-
Bachchan Pandey – Rs 51.04 crore
-
Kesari 2 – Rs 92.74 crore
The only films ahead in his post-pandemic box office chart are:
-
Sky Force – Rs 113.62 crore
-
Housefull 5 – Rs 183.38 crore
-
Sooryavanhi – Rs 195.55 crore
Critics have particularly praised Saurabh Shukla for his standout performance in this courtroom drama.
Challenges Ahead
The coming week could prove challenging as two major releases are set to hit screens: Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 and Varun Dhawan–Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. With distributors demanding maximum screens for both films, Jolly LLB 3 may face stiff competition.
