Mahoba, August 16, 2026: Similar to the rest of India, the Ajnar region of Mahoba district joyfully celebrated the 80th Independence Day on August 15, 2026. The occasion saw spirited programs infused with patriotic sentiment held at various government and non-government institutions, as well as schools.

The Independence Day celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the national flag and the singing of the national anthem, paying homage to the nation's revered martyrs. The event was marked by a strong sense of national pride and remembrance.

Flag Hoisting Ceremonies Mark the Day

At the Ajnar Forest Department Office, Forest Ranger Jitendra Kumar performed the flag hoisting ceremony, honoring the national spirit. Similarly, at Thana Ajnar, Station House Officer Subhash Chandra unfurled the national flag, expressing respect for the country.

In a symbol of community unity, administrator Nanneylal Anuragi hoisted the flag at the local Panchayat Bhavan. Additionally, at the Khamar Health Center, Dr. P.N. Sharma hoisted the flag, highlighting the health workers' commitment to national service.

Educational Institutions Buzz with Excitement

A special enthusiasm for Independence Day was evident in the region's educational institutions. At Sukhānand School, the school chairman Phool Singh Tomar led the flag hoisting. Following suit, manager Shashibhushan Richharia at SGR School and Upendra Dwivedi at Nathuram Mukhiya Public School raised the national flag.
